The Geographical Choreography of Tennis Players

This map shows the geographical location of all the ATP matches since 2008.

Each moving circle corresponds to a player, you can follow his journey from city to city! Between two matches its position is interpolated on the globe between the start and end position. For players that don't play for a long time, they smoothly disappear in the middle of the journey and appear again once they are close to the location of their restarting match.

The orange circle corresponds to the tournaments that host the ATP matches, the bigger its size, the more matches the tournaments hosted.
